Dealing With Feelings

This is a new workshop, for groups of 4-5 people who want to learn the skills of managing difficult feelings. Using a wide range of techniques from Mindfulness to grounding and imagery, participants will learn ways of supporting themselves in difficult times. Learning to recognise the signs of imminent distress, and to monitor levels of anxiety, the course will help you to intervene effectively to take the edge off these feelings. Exercises will be learnt in the group, and 'homework' practice will be suggested.

This will not be a therapy group, but all work will be confidential. Ten, two-hour sessions, starting in mid-January 2010, to be held at Stanford in the Vale on Monday evenings. Cost: £150, payment by installments with a £50 initial deposit.
